Small double fretted clavichord after an anonymous 18th c. clavichord at the Stockholm Musikmuseet collection, numbered NM264785a. It strikes an excellent balance between the requirements for a reasonably powerful tone and a small dimension. This clavichord is fretted in a diatonic way starting from the second octave. The first octave is unfretted.
C/E-c3 short octave, with split sharps D/F# and E/G#, tuning after wish (e.g. Kirnberger 3, Werckmeister 3, meantone, etc.), outer dimensions approx. 114.0 x 34.0 x 12.0 cm, case in wild cherry wood or pear wood, wrestplank in oak, bridge in beech, lime keyboard with boxwood plates and sharps in pear wood.
