Small double fretted clavichord after an anonymous 18th c. clavichord at the Stockholm Musikmuseet collection, numbered NM264785a. It strikes an excellent balance between the requirements for a reasonably powerful tone and a small dimension. This clavichord is fretted in a diatonic way starting from the second octave. The first octave is unfretted.
C/E-c3 short octave, with split sharps D/F# and E/G#, Werckmeister III tuning scheme, outer dimensions approx. 114.0 x 34.0 x 12.0 cm, case in wild cherry wood or maple, wrestplank in oak, bridge in beech, lime keyboard with boxwood plates and bog oak sharps.
